My Mission and Partial Story;
If you've found your way here, I want you to know one thing before anything else:
You are not alone.
Whether you're living with poor mental health, struggling with addiction, questioning your LGBTQ+ identity, supporting someone you care about, or simply trying to make it through another day, this is a space where you are welcome exactly as you are.
There is no judgement here. No pressure to have all the answers. Just understanding, compassion and someone who genuinely believes that every person deserves to feel heard, valued and supported.
This mission was born from my own journey.
On New Year's Eve 2025, after my sixth alcohol detox, I stood on Helsby Hill watching the first sunrise of a new year. For six years I had battled addiction, poor mental health and the overwhelming belief that I would never be enough. I had lost memories, relationships and, at times, hope itself.
That morning changed everything.
As the sun rose, I made a promise to myself that if I found my way through recovery, I would spend my life helping others find theirs.
Today, that promise lives here.
Alongside my lived experience of addiction, mental health recovery and life as a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I bring professional experience supporting people every day. I am a Qualified First Aider, Mental Health First Aider and Support Worker supporting individuals with complex needs and mental health challenges, and someone who understands that every person's journey is unique. I've learned that real support isn't about having all the answers—it's about listening without judgement, creating a safe space, and helping people rediscover the strength they already have within themselves.
Recovery looks different for everyone.
Healing isn't always linear.
Some days, simply getting out of bed is an achievement, and that's okay.
My mission is to help you feel seen, understood and empowered to take your next step—no matter how big or how small that step may be.
I want this website to be more than a collection of information. I want it to be a place of hope. A place where conversations begin, stigma ends, and people realise they don't have to face life's challenges on their own.
Because your diagnosis is not your identity.
Your addiction is not your future.
Your past does not decide your worth.
And whatever has brought you here today, I hope you leave believing what changed my life forever:
Even the longest night always ends with sunrise.
Welcome.
I'm honoured you've found your way here, and I hope this becomes a place where you feel safe, supported and reminded that there is always hope. These pictures below showed day one of that hope!
